Legal Alert Act Complementing the Bulgarian Trade Regsiter Act
ACT COMPLEMENTING THE BULGARIAN TRADE REGISTER ACT
(IN FORCE AS OF 16 JUNE 2009)
In State Gazette No. 44/12.06.2009 was promulgated the Act complementing the Bulgarian Trade Register Act which enters into force on 16 June 2009.
Notary officers with authority to issue certificates
The amendment introduced by the Act (paragraph 3 to art. 34) gives notary officers the authority to issue certificates (e.g. current status certificates) which until this moment were issued only by Trade Registry officers.
The text of the amendment reads as follows: „(3) Documents under art. 33, paragraphs 1 and 2 may be issued also by notary officers who shall certify the date and hour of their preparation and their correspondence with the references contained in the trade register.”
Documents issued by notary officer shall have the same legal power as the ones issued by the Trade Registry.
