Legal Alert-Deadlines for Publication of Financial Statements
ACT AMENDING AND COMPLEMENTING THE ACCOUNTANCY ACT
(IN FORCE AS OF 03.05.2011)
Changes have been introduced to the Accountancy Act. The changes are published in State Gazette # 34/29.04.2011 and enter into force as of 03.05.2011. In particular, the changes set different deadlines for publication of the annual financial statements with the Trade Registry depending on the type of merchant as follows:
- Sole proprietors – until May 31st next year;
- Limited liability companies – until June 30th next year;
- All other merchants – until July 31st next year;
Non-profit organizations shall submit their financial statements to the Central Registry kept by the Ministry of Justice until June 30th next year.
All other organizations shall announce their financial statements through a publication in a business media or in the Internet.
