Dispute Resolution: “Lost” aircraft case

Delchev & Partners represented a major airline carrier in a peculiar case of a practically “lost” aircraft which was taken away from the carrier as a lessee from its lessor. The lessor claims that the carrier still has the aircraft and requests it back, while the carrier claims that the aircraft was taken away years ago. The case focuses on the historical ascertainment by the carrier of the whereabouts of the plane and how they had been changing in time. The case involves the collection of documents and evidence concerning 3 continents, from 4 different countries in and outside the European Union, from third parties representing private and official public entities in those countries for a period of more than 3 years. Up to this moment the case involves more than 10,000 pages of evidence in aggregate, tending to compile further.
