Delchev & Partners has advised the Italian company Garbuio S.p.A, part of Garbuio Dickisnon group, with regard to complicated withholding tax issue concerning a 10 million euro contract for supply and installation of a prime tobacco processing line in Bulgaria.
Our tax specialists represented Garbuio S.p.A. before the Bulgarian tax administration in the Bulgaria Italy Double Tax Treaty application including inter alia completion of application forms, compilation of written evidence and documentation relevant to the case, successful appeal of the initial statement of the tax administration on denial of the DTT application, as well as representation in the course of the new tax audit of Garbuio S.p.A and finally obtaining a relief from Bulgarian taxation at source of the income under the contract.
